When my father-in-law came home from his tour in Vietnam in 1966, one of the first things he did was buy a brand new '67 Corvette with the money he'd saved. It had a 327 with a four speed and was liquid awesome. The car was stolen in the early 1970's and the police later recovered the empty shell, which was promptly totaled and scrapped. In the spirit of practicality, he replaced it with a 1973 Ford Montego. Ouch. I wish we had the '67 Corvette shell today...
